I've also noticed this problem on the Cheetah engine, but I don't have any pictures of that on hand.

It's a little hard to see, you need to scroll out from the part. But if you get far enough, yes, the lines are visible on the new Mk1 pod, most especially on the white variant.
There are two lines separating the heat-shield into "quarters", so to speak, and a couple running along the sides, from top to bottom.

Looks a lot less obvious in 1.6 (and seemingly absent on the bottom), but still present.
