Bug #25548

Updated by jayvey over 3 years ago

Related to: #24435 *--> Solved*

Undocking/uncoupling is different for same vessel interactions and seperate vessels interactions. There are two issues when using (robotic) parts to manually attach structures to docking ports:

1) The docking ports don't align properly
2) Same vessel undocking/uncoupling can't be controlled with action groups and the KAL-1000 controller where as seperate vessel docking ports can be (#24435) *--> Solved*

*To replicate:*
1) Use attached .craft file for a test setup
2) Launch and play controller sequence and wait for it to dock
3) Manually undock docked ports (since controller won't)
4) Manually set target angles of other docking attachements and dock/undock with docking port on command probe

*Results:*
- The undock/decouple action in the controller will undock the fuel tank as seperate vessel
- The undock/decouple action in the controller will +not+ undock the two same vessel docking ports *--> Solved*

- Docked/coupled docking ports will not be properly aligned, its docked either at an offset and/or at an angle
- When you manually undock the ports the undocked ports will move into the desired position even with same vessel interaction on, be it undocked

*Desired behaviour:*
1) Undocking/uncoupling of same vessel docking ports can be controlled with the KAL-1000 controller and/or action groups *--> Solved*
2) Docking ports align properly and not at an angle or offset
