This issue is already addressed and confirmed in an one year old issue: https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/21863
I'm remaking this issue in an attempt to get some attention to it.
I'm playing a career with 0.1 funds and science rewards and this bug makes me have to edit my save or restart from backups every 5 minutes. It's annoying. Fix it please
