Red graphical glitches in full screen

Description
After switching to full screen (cmd+f or in settings) screen starts to flash with mostly red glitches. It stops when I change display brightness or there is some notification (messege etc.). It also stops for a few seconds when I take a screenshot.
- Macbook Pro 15'' 2019 and mac OS Catalina (10.15)
- steam version
- basic game with no mods
- tried reinstall, didnt help

Updated by Appears to be an issue with Retina display scaling in KSP. Disabling full screen, changing resolution, and then re-enabling full screen seems to clear the glitches until the user changes apps or moves KSP to the background. Glitches clear when screenshot app is used to attempt to record it, but reappear immediately after screenshot taken.

Updated by This bug makes 1.8.0 completely unplayable for me. (Changing brightness etc only fixed it for a few seconds.) The issue doesn't happen in windowed mode, but the window is pretty small and I can't resize it, so it's not really playable that way either.
I suspected it might be an issue with the retina scaling, but the workaround mentioned by AngryKitty doesn't work for me.
Would very much appreciate a patch for this soon! I just got the game less than two weeks ago so I've been super into it. I think I'm going through withdrawal...

I suspected this might be an issue with Unity / Catalina, and indeed that seems to be the case: https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/oni/issue-with-full-screen-mode-on-macos-catalina-r22388/
Also, I found a workaround/solution! If you right-click on the .app file for the game, choose "Get Info", and set the "Open in Low Resolution" checkbox, that seems to fix it. In my case I'm still running in 1920x1200, but now KSP (well, Unity?) sees that as the max/"native" resolution of my screen.

Updated by I have been running into the same issue and I figured I would leave a note as well to hopefully encourage this to be a bit higher priority. It is really a huge bummer that this makes the game unplayable. I really enjoy this game and would love to be able to play it again. I tried what the other poster wrote about right clicking the app and changing to low resolution mode, but for some reason I have no control over that box, even when I unlock the window.

Selecting the "Open in Low Resolution" checkbox worked for me. jake6075, at the bottom of the "Get Info" window in the "Sharing & Permissions" section, you should see your username in the "Name" column and next to it "Read & Write". If instead it shows "Read only", try changing that.
