Description

I have my ATI proprietary (fglrx-updates) linux drivers installed (running Ubuntu) and when I mouse over the UI to edit staging, a random, weird, splattered texture on my screen. I tried switching to (fglrx) proprietary drivers, and same thing happened. Then, I used X.Org Open-source drivers, and the game crashed upon opening. People say this can just be ignored, but it sometimes doesn't go away, and it covers my entire screen.
BTW, I am using a laptop, and my card is AMD Radeon 6480G

I am not the original poster, but I had the same issue. I am on a Radeon 6630M/Intel hybrid laptop.

I cannot reproduce this, as either a graphics driver update or the update to 1.0 has resolved this issue for me. I no longer have 0.90 to test on, but I can assist if you would like me to test something and the OP can't.

In my experience the ATI drivers are crap. Sadly, I suggest moving all bugs related to ATI drivers to LOW priority because there probably isn't any reasonable workaround possible as it is a driver bug.

The corruption is caused by the use of the PPFX switch.

Please see #3859 for the solution to this issue.

Please refrain from opinion on this tracker? Facts and well reasoned theories are welcome. Discussions and opinion should be directed to the forums.
