Description
The Work Lamp (small) item can stack twice inside a Kerbal's inventory. When clicking the Deploy button, rather than only consuming one item from the stack, both items are consumed. Only one work lamp is deployed, and when retrieving it, only one work lamp is returned. The other appears to have been consumed by the Kraken.

Confirmed.
However it looks like the Kerbal can only hold two lamps and nothing else anyway
Work Around:
Put one lamp in each of the Kerbal's inventory slots like this screenshot, then it wont happen
