In title "Release" should read as "Pre-Release" - Sorry for that.

Fixed the title.

Wallygator, this might be the same issue affecting 1.2.2, if you're using Sierra Apples gatekeeper will stop it running.

Can you please try this.

i had this issue and heres how you fix it: right click on the application and select "show package contents". then navigate through contents, then MacOS, and click the executable shown. KSP works perfectly fine after that so its an issue with the application connecting to the executable.

Apparently it's also possible to add KSP as a safe app to Gatekeeper as well.

1.2.2 has always worked for me with no additional concerns - gatekeeper never caused any problems before.

One additional note here is that I just downloaded the pre-release through Steam and it works perfectly - but only when launching the via steam. Strange.

ok Sal, I executed the instruction you provided and the application did launch.

It still will not launch via the launcher or by opening ksp.exe.

The Steam version launches fine.

Definitely appears to be some link/connectivity issue between these various files and package contents.

What additional info do you seek?

OK, so in the latest version of Sierra, MAC OS has removed a dialogue option in security general tab that previously allowed any application to be opened.

One can only presume that KSP still is an 'unsigned' application and is not likely properly registered with apple? Is this the case? Otherwise MAC OS would recognise it.

I could be completely wrong here - but still perhaps someone can address this question.

This is the case as far as I'm aware.

Steam sets permissions so that may be why it works, the launcher does not so that's probably why it fails.

I don't know enough about how Gatekeeper works unfortunately.

So this is the same issue with the same solutions, Squad can only fix this by getting KSP signed.
