Bug #24325

Updated by Sppion1 over 4 years ago

Hello,

[Level : something like normal/high according to https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/projects/ksp/wiki but I can't update this]

*+Description+*
You better see the attached video, it would be more explicit. Anyway :
When I redock a part of a rover with robotics part attached to a part that is temporary not attached to the rover, those robotics part behavior is very strange, and unplayable :
=> you can't set the "target angle" anymore on the "alligator G01", neither on the M06 servo.
=> the 1P2 piston are still working

If you reload the craft :
=> target angle is still there again, [until you deactivate/reactivate the motor (not in video)]. It just has... no effect.
=> it seems that piston/alligator connection are messed up (better try/see the video).
=> I didn't try anything in the video.

If you try to attach the docking port before separation (see the video to understand this statement, even if this part is not in the video.), the rover just "rise" in the air, until it fall as soon as I stage the stack separator (with ejection force at 0%).

*+Step to replicate+* : take the given craft file, and does the same as in the video. I don't know if there is a shorter path.

*+Observed+* : see description part.

*+Note+* : I first thought it could be linked to Bug #23056, but I'm not sure anymore.

In the category, I didn't know between gameplay, part, or even physics.
I attached the output_log file, however I have 2 instance installed (I did a clean one to produce the current bug). And I opened my modded version of ksp before and after the clean one. I hope it can still be used.
