Description

I copied this bug from user ed_von_schleck as I could not find a way to upvote, add a 'me-too' or otherwise improve visibility for this bug. No menu items appear in the UI nor do certain flight elements such as fuel and atmosphere pressure bars during the game. Essentially the game is not playable as you can't picked a saved game or make any menu choices.

I can confirm the original ticket's text and use the same OS as listed below :

Some menues (loading savegames, choosing mission - see attachments) don't have visible entries at all. If one clicks into the UI void, it is apparent that the entries are there, since some parts of the UI react, but as is, the game is, sadly, unplayable.

This is a new bug as of 1.1.0 for me.

I'm on Linux, Fedora 23 (64bit). Starting the binary on the command line does not print anything helpful. Both the 64bit and 32bit binaries show that problem.

pdubois95, they do have entries, but the stencilling method used by Unity5 is not currently supported by all versions of OpenGL on the open source Linux drivers, regardless of card used.

Please start KSP with -force-glcore to force the Unity engine to detect your OpenGL version, it will then use the correct method.

Let me know if this works for you.

Using that flag in the steam launch options box KSP started and all menus appeared as expected!

After confirming the glcore fix worked everywhere in the game I closed KSP and steam then rebooted the workstation. Upon reboot KSP no longer starts. Will attempt to find out why....

So, promising but not resolved.

KSP not starting would be a separate issue, you will need to provide your logs.
