Kerbal Space Program

Please refer to the two attached images.

In first image there is large and thick ring of rocket engine exhaust clouds.

In second image, created about 0.25 s game time later the whole ring is gone and what remains is two cloud plumes generated by flames and exhaust that went through the launchpad grating.

Recommended approach to reproduce and study the issue:

• Enter SPH
• Load Kerbal X stock ship from VAB list
• Deploy on runway
• Full throttle and stage to burn engines, but don't stage again to release clamps

• While engines burn, use WASD controls and watch cloud behavior

Issue 1: it is possible to affect motion of smoke clouds, even those already released and in significant distance from the rocket, by WASD controls while rocket keeps burning.

• After a smoke ring has formed, kill throttle

Issue 2: right after you kill the trottle (or in case of normal launch right when the rocket's plume stops touching the ground) part of smoke clouds around the ship start moving in single direction.

Issue 3: after dispersing for a while, the remaining smoke clouds abruptly distappear.

I consider issue 1 harmless and unnoticable under normal circumstances but issues 2 and 3 are very noticable and distractive every time a large enough rocket is launched. Necessary condition is that rocket's engines don't all hit the launchpad grating - plumes reflected by grating appear to behave reasonably.

Issue 3 probably has something to do with the fact that smoke clouds are not brougt sufficiently close to full transparency before they are removed. I have no ideas about issues 1 and 2.
