Bug #5172
Invert Control Surface
100%
Description
Like shown in the screenshot I constructed a plane which has its control surfaces behind the center of mass.
When I want to lift off, then I normally press [S]. But when I press [S] with this plane, the control surfaces turns down. So I have to press [W] to steer up. But that's not the biggest problem, the biggest problem is, that the SAS works in the wrong direction!
Perhaps it's because the main wing is attatched in front of the center of mass?
PS: Actually it's the new 1.0.3 version.

I can confirm the behavior. Culprit are the Elevon 3/Big-S Elevon 1/Big-S Elevon 2 combo mounted on the trailing edge of FAT-455 Aeroplane Wing. Together they turn the Center of Lift indicator upside down and that leads to the game applying control surfaces action inversely.
KSP 1.0.4 is needed to load both craft files.
Behavior can be reproduced even on pair of non-east/west mounting edges and single pair of elevons rotated in 5 degree increments.

- Severity changed from Normal to Low
This issue occurs because the X axis of the control surface is the wrong side of the CoM, this is how KSP knows which way to move the part, it has nothing to do with wing placement.
Workaround is to ensure the x axis of the control surface is correct relative to the vessel CoM.
