GOG KSP 1.11.1 (No DLCs, no Mods)
1.11.0 Had the part come out at a perpendicular angle to the ground in a certain direction every time so if I positioned my craft to 90 degrees it would be fine
1.11.1 Shows the changing of the angle parts come out of the inventory.
