Description

Fellow programmer here (and honorary Mexican by marriage!). Hope this has all the info you need, if not let me know:

DESCRIPTION

When playing the attached save file, the whole game suddenly crashes, and also crashes the whole operating system, causing a complete reboot.
This is a save from a Windows 10 (details attached) Steam version of KSP 1.9.1 (version information attached). Not a fresh install (but not other save games at present).

HOW TO REPRODUCE

The save game (attached) is a brand new career mode on custom hard difficulty. When playing (the only current running mission): returning Jebidiah from his first Mun flyby. During re-rentry, after leaving orbit, the game will reliably crash (had it happen three times repeatably).
On the fourth attempt managed to land, but a second flyby of the Mun caused a crash when re-entering Kerbin zone of influence. Froze the whole game and OS (coundlt even CTRL+ALT+DEL).

Note: I also had firefox open at the same time on my second monitor, playing a youtube video.

Tried it a fourth time, didn't crash (at least not during the completion of the mission). Did not have youtube open this time?

Spoke too soon - during the fourth attempt, when doing another flyby past the moon, game froze during the change from the Mun to the Kerbin zone of influence. Froze the whole OS too (nothing from CTRL+ALT+DEL or anything, had to restart).

Hi, i've tried to repro this several times and im not having any issues. Im able to successfully land and recover Jeb in the attached save game without any game crashes or OS crashes/reboots. If possible can you attach the output log after the crash reboot. It can be found in 'C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Squad\Kerbal Space Program'
