Kerbal Space Program

Use the appropriate directory on each platform for storing user data. AppData on win, $XDG_DATA_HOME on linux, etc. Settings, saves, ships, screenshots, and mods should be loaded from here to allow multiple users to share the same KSP install. Using the game root dir should not be removed, to maintain backwards compat and portability.

As an added benefit it makes it easier to install the platform's own native conventions, no need to worry about the user having write permissions to the game folder.
