Framerate dropped a lot with 1.8.0 update

Description
After the update to 1.8.0 the game is almost unplayable on Kerbin in atmosphere and orbit with low framerates. The game worked fine until now.
Setup: Intel i5-7600 / HD Graphics 630, Windows 10 64bit.

Same on Linux/Ubuntu 19.10, Intel HD Graphics 4000 , even with lowest graphics settings.
KSP 1.7.3 is fine

I'm on Intel i7-6500U, Intel HD Graphics 520, Linux/openSUSE Tumbleweed. KSP 1.7.3 is fine.
Framerate is ok in when not looking at a planet.

The same happen to me, after update to 1.8 game is completly unplayable on Kerbin in atmosphere and orbit. I version 1.7.3 everthing is working fine.

Updated by Not limited to Intel. Same with Nvidia on Linux with proprietary drivers.
