Able to enter vehicle through heatshield

Description

While on a mission I ended up being stuck in orbit.(200km Periapsis. 4000km Apoapsis)
As we all know you can push the ship using an EVA kerbal. I did just that.
My ship consisted of a Mk1 Command Pod, a Mk1 Crew Cabin and a heatshield at the end. (Also some chutes but that doesn't really matter.)
So, my ship has 1 kerbal(pilot) in the command pod, 1 kerbal in the crew cabin, and 1 kerbal on EVA to push my ship out of orbit.
When I hover towards the heatshield, which I want to use to push the ship, the Board [B] option appears!
I can enter the ship through the heatshield! (Unable to exit the module through the heatshield though.. when I try that I get a message stating the hatch is blocked.)

This bug has really been around for quite a while (since I started playing a few years ago), but I considered it a favorable option worth taking advantage of rather than an annoyance. Just mentioning it so you don't think it just happened in a recent release.
