Kerbal Space Program

I built a science rover and drove away from the KSC until I found a location where the science experiments told me they were for "shores landed" and no longer for "KSC landed" (since I already had "KSC landed"). I gathered the experiments, then recovered the vessel, but gained no science points. Checking the R&D building I definitely had not gained any "shores landed" science experiments.

I repeated the process, but drove in a different direction to find "shores landed" (the first time I drove out around the monument next to the KSC, and the second time I drive past the end of the runway and up next to the water, but not yet in the water). The second time I was able to gain the science points and it showed up in the R&D building under "shores landed."

Separately I noticed in the R&D building that some of my EVA experiments from landed on the Mun show as having been done, but having received no data. I didn't notice at the time I recovered the vessel whether it gave me any science points for the EVAs because I had other experiments too and got science points for those.
