Explore Contracts for "return from" should count, if a kerbal returns to Kerbin surface

Description
Currently a vessel is needed. So if I have a reuseable mothership for the explore contract, and the Kerbals return to Kerbin surface via a lander (or spaceplane) which has not been on the mission, the "return from" part of the contract is not awarded (even if I bring science from the mission).
