Description

When placing either the LT-2 Landing Leg or LT-1 Landing Leg and attaching it to a part, it is attached fine in its default position but the second it's rotated using the A and D keys, it isn't rotated properly and clips into the part at a weird angle. The LT-05 landing leg isn't affected at all and it seems to be just the LT-2 and LT-1 legs that are affected. This mainly affects gameplay as it means I am completely unable to construct bases, landers and other vehicles. Wheels and landing gear are also unaffected and it seems to only be those two specific landing legs that I mentioned. Apologies if I've missed out any key info but that's all I can get on the issue, I've added steps to reproduce below if that helps as well as some notes.

Notes:
I have tried both with and without mods installed, the legs still behave this way.
Leg worked fine before 1.1.3.
A 'verify integrity of cache' on Steam does nothing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a part in the VAB or SPH (I used the crew container)
2. Select the landing gear mentioned
3. Place it on the initial part selected
4. Rotate using A and D
5. Bug should occur

Did a complete reinstall with no mods at all, issue still persisted.
Can't play the game at all and I'm finding it really hard to play as I unable to make landers using these bugged out landing legs.

This is a duplicate of bug #9342, which has already had several other cases where duplicate bug entries were made for this issue. This fact is a good indication that fixing this bug is important to a lot of people, and should be listed as a higher priority than "Low" as bug #9342 is currently set at.

Leg rotation consistency "broke" in v1.1. Rotation for all 3 leg types is consistent in v1.0.5.
Note: V1.1 also introduced a change to the default deployed state (now extended) of legs placed in the editor.

Complete stock reinstall of the game on a completely brand new PC results in the same bug. Game is next to unplayable with this issue present as it prevents creating any form of ground vehicle or landers requiring the use of the LT-2 and LT-1 landing legs.

I'm willing to go out and a limb and say that this is quite game breaking as it limits the player to just creating rockets and stations without being able to create any landers at all.

When uninstalling and reinstalling, rotation bug is still present.
When going back to a previous version of the game, bug is still present.
Nothing I do since the 1.1.3 update is able to fix this and I sincerely hope it's an issue that's fixed before 1.2 comes out.

I am now aware that this bug is not just occurring to me but to a handful of other players as well, it would be nice if a Mod/Admin could bump up the priority of this bug as I personally believe this is an issue that needs prioritising as like I mentioned above, it completely prevents any form of progression and prevents making bases/landers.

I pinged Arsonide about this issue: it's known, and apparently not easy to fix... or it would have been fixed already.

Quoting Arsonide's reply from September 4:

Unfortunately this is not a bug, the wheel collider orientation needs to match up with the suspension axis. or bad things happen with the new wheels. The micro struts are already in a decent orientation, so we didn't need to rotate them.

We have investigated some workarounds, but none have panned out thus far.
