Description

I could not decide to call this a bug or a feature request. The first part is an oversight in design which I'd consider a bug, but the solution is an RFC so I went with feature, plz change if required.

After creating a lot of sub assemblies I noticed that some had vanished from the list. I checked the sub assembly folder and found that they where still there. Then I realized what the problem was, the sub assembly list does not have a scroll or multiple pages, so after a while the list gets too long to display and some become inaccessible. After deleting a few the one I was looking for resurfaced.
What is worse, is that I think the length of the list is dependent on the resolution of the users screen (but I can't confirm that).

There needs to be either a scroll bar or it should have multiple pages like the parts tabs do.

This is related which is why I've put this here too. Sub assemblies needs categories. If you used the sub-assembly mod that came before this stock feature one of the great things about it was having categories that you could define. You could put all you rovers subs in one place, have 1 section for heavy LVs and another for medium LVs etc. Being able to define a set of categories to house sub-assemblies would be very much appreciated and would reduce the length of the sub assembly list (although I still think a scroll bar should be added).

Generally, on bug trackers, you make one issue report per issue.

IMO, the subassembly overflow would be considered a bug, and the scrollbar/pagination "request" is actually the fix for the issue. Categories, however, are a feature request.

I personally haven't really bothered with subassemblies (something regarding how the root part can't be added, but I just came up with a workaround), but I'll see if I can confirm the issue and, if so, I'll make a seperate report for it (unless someone else does so first).

Also, I'm thinking subassemblies could work as a directory tree setup.

I have to apologize for this bug report! There are multiple pages in the sub assemblies, I just didn't see the button for some reason! So please ignore that part of this report, Sorry!

Re sub assemblies acting like a directory tree, as TruePikachu said would be a perfect solution and would be totally intuitive.
