Description

  • I am getting the following error as soon as I load into the VAB/SPH:
[Exception]: MissingFieldException: Field '.FlightGlobals.fetch' not found.
So this may/may not be part of the following bug.

What happens: Loss of control of selecting parts from assembly windows. The last item deleted locks to the mouse cursor and follows it. Rotating the part will still work, but the part cannot be deselected or deleted.

Selecting another item does not resolve the issue.
Debug config gives following error messsage:

[Exception]: MissingFieldException: Field '.FlightGlobals.fetch' not found.

How to reproduce:

1. Select any item in the VAB/SPH. place another item onto the first. Delete the second item, delete the first item... Bug should now be there. throwing the exception.

2. Take any part off of any craft, clicking to place it back on the craft also causes the bug.

This has been tested with parts from all tabs: command pods, structural etc...

Notes:
Loading a vessel and making a new vessel reload the VAB/SPH thereby clearing the bug,
When bug is active cannot exit VAB/SPH or save craft.
Going into action groups does not resolve the issue.

Versions Affected:
Untested. was not present in 0.20

Clean install: yes
Mods installed: none.

Unable to reproduce this here, using the Reproduction steps provided. Could you supply your output_log?

Sounds very much like a mod is installed. The error is related to the address space change which only a mod would find fault in.

Thank you for your prompt replies.
Had the problem before and after installing mods. Have removed all mods and tested applying one mod at a time.

MechJeb2, KW_Rocketry, Kethane: All mods work fine with 0.21 thus far.

Romfarer Lazor System V28b is the culprit, debug console spams the aforementioned exception.
I will use without until Lazors is updated.
I will try to pass this for the attn. of Romfarer.

My applogies for not recognising the fault did not lie with KSP.
Attached output log for your perusal.

Feel free to close this bug report as the issue evidently lies elsewhere.

Many thanks
MadWyvern

Romfarer is aware and currently updating his mod. New one will be out shortly i'm sure.
